Tom Brady was one of the original owners of Toad Valley Golf Course. He helped to design the course from an aerial view and spent 48 years planting trees on the golf course. He played on Tuesdays at 12:37 with his foursome for 48 years. Without fail. He played in wind. He played in rain. When the weather cooperated, he was even known to play on his birthday in January. He loved the golf course and playing with his foursome. The original foursome was made up of his dad and two brothers. When his dad, Toad Valley’s Founder Dale Brady, passed away in 1983, Mike Ballard joined the group. Dan, Tom, Steve and Mike played golf together for many years until Dan passed away in 2001. That’s when other members of the family joined in over the years. Many grandsons, family friends, cousins and others have played together over the years. Always on Tuesday at 12:37.
We dedicate this tournament in our dad’s honor. He loved the golf course and mom’s Italian sausage sandwiches. On Tuesday, October 1, we’ll spend a day enjoying everything that dad loved. Even mom’s cooking!
